The Cook Family: Together!

God always brings people together for a reason. This day, God brought me this family to capture... and it was a special special day. I got to learn so many lessons from them in the short amount of time we had together, and without saying too much, I am forever grateful for a lesson I learned this day.

The Cook family is so "together". I know that sounds a little corny... but seriously, you can just feel their connection. I think this is why I love shooting families so much. We all have busy lives, whether we work, raise our kids, travel, take our kids to their practices and games... all busy lives on different levels. The hard part of that, is that it's hard to stay connected as a unit. It's easy to let the day to day activities get in the way. The Cook family is busy in many ways, and Brian travels a lot for his career... and there is still this crazy magnetic pull between this family. It was really beautiful to watch. Victoria, thank you for connecting with me to do this shoot. Thank you also for sharing such an intimate part of your life with me. It made me go home and hug my husband and my sweet little Lilianna Victoria very tight... and taught me once again... to BE PRESENT in my life, as you are with yours.

Craig and Carolyn: Expecting!

Craig is my husband's brother. I am lucky enough to call them my in-laws:) They are a PERFECT couple for one another and have waiting long for this exciting time! They are due in only 3 weeks and we can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl! 

Jackson and Reese

I was lucky enough to see Jackson and Reese just a few months ago... but Reese has grown so much (as kids always do their first year:)... so I was able to have another photo session with them! These kids are the most well behaved kids ever, and a joy to photograph. Here are a few of my favs...

Holland = Big Sister!

You can't tell from the images, but Holland is going to be a big sister later this year! I love when families capture certain important times in their life, as life changes SO fast. This is the only time they will have with Holland as an only child... and the only time that Holland will get their undivided attention. Little does she know it yet, but Holland... it will be so worth it to have some siblings running around, to share life with:) Enjoy a few of my favorite images from our family session in Claremont!

The Knight Family...

I was lucky enough to meet the Knight family through a boutique I shoot for. It was fun meeting them! Brenda had some questions during our shoot about photography. She just had her baby about 9 months ago and couldn't bare the thought of going back to work. So, they figured out how to make it work, and here she is:) She is taking up photography and hoping to do it as a career in the future. Brenda... good luck with everything! I can truly say that being a photographer is something that I absolutely love and feel blessed to do as a living. Not many people can say that, so I definitely don't take it for granted:) I hope you will be able to say the same soon... so just stick with it! Here are just a few favs from our shoot together.
